Sensational Shop Saturday - Nut-Made by LisaNut

31 Days of Sensational Shops went so well that Sensational Shop Saturday was created to continue to feature awesome handmade shops!

Today's Sensational Shop is Nut-Made by LisaNut - run by Lisa Almond!

Tell us about you - the creator!

I am a sometimes stay-at-home mom with a Kindergartener and a toddler. As a licensed teacher, I enjoy tutoring and teaching when I can (especially with special needs kids) I love knitting whenever I can find a moment to sit and I enjoy reading, singing and a wide variety of music. My family are big Sci Fi fans. We love getting outdoors whether to a park or actual camping.

I enjoy the challenges and creativity of sewing, knitting, and creating original products!

Describe your shop and what you sell

Nut-Made is the result of of years of collecting materials and refusing to throw old clothes away, combined with a need to create! Nut-Made specializes in hand knitted and/or sewn phone/tech cases, scarves and pillows but will branch out where-ever the muse leads.

I love creating new things and re-purposing old things with my own unique style. WELCOME to my Nutty world!

What is your favorite item to make? Why?

I don't think I can pick a favorite. I love being able to sit down with some needles, yarn & and idea and create something new; but I also love sitting down at my sewing table with some fabric & dreams :) Any time I get to experiment with a new idea, I get very excited & happy.

How and when did you start your business?

About 4 years ago, I thought I'd start an etsy shop selling hand-made bags & pillows, mostly from re-purposed denim. The direction of the shop has changed a lot since then. I tend to find myself trying new ideas all the time.

Anything else you would like to add?

I love doing commissions! :)

Where can buyers find you?

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'll see you next week for another Sensational Shop Saturday!
