Jump to:  concept / sketching / computer rendering / printing / cutting / button punching / troubleshooting

Today I’m going to show you how to cut a pinback button design. We’ve already had it printed. Now we’re going to cut the design so we can make it into a pinback button. Let’s get started.

The materials you need to cut your pinback button design:
  • Printed design
  • Button cutter (I use the Dynamo button cutter)
  • Something to cut the printed design into strips (I use scissors)
  1. Cut the printed design into strips so it fits into the button cutter
  2. Line up the button cutter with the cut line on the design
  3. Cut all of the designs you’re going to make into buttons in the next step

I cut all of the designs before making them into buttons so it’s faster.

After cutting all the designs, you’re ready to make them into pinback buttons!
