How I Fuel My Day

I fuel my day with a variety of different foods and drinks. Other than milk in the morning, my liquids are water and tea. I'd rather eat my calories than drink them.

I typically eat the same things every day at the same time. I'm hypoglycemic and have to eat every couple hours so I have small snacks throughout the day with dinner being the biggest meal.

Here is what fuels me in the morning and afternoon before dinner:

Pre-workout:  8 ounce glass of whole milk
Breakfast:  Wheat bread with peanut butter
Second breakfast:  String cheese and Wasa bread
Lunch:  Wheat bread with peanut butter. Usually with a bit of strawberry jam
Afternoon snack:  String cheese with Wasa bread and a banana (The bananas are in a plastic bag to make them ripen faster. Science!)

I know what you're thinking. How boring! I change things up by changing the flavors of my Wasa bread. The flax seed kind is definitely my favorite!

Dinner is different. My husband cooks and he has the extraordinary ability to throw food together into a casserole and make it delicious. We usually use chicken or ground turkey along with potatoes or tater tots. He makes a mean BBQ bean dip too. Mm!

What fuels your day?
